Residents

The heads holding the line for EastBound. Different sounds, one standard: built for sub-floor systems and 174-bpm patience.

  1. Debug portrait
    Co-founder · 08.2025DJ

Sound Heavy Jump Up · Dark Minimal

“Heavy jump up. Tight doubles. No filler.”

Debug plays heavy jump up with dark minimal in between and no filler anywhere. Tight doubles, quick hands, and a habit of reading a crowd before it knows what it wants.

Still early on the decks and already gigging weekend to weekend. Hanzom Crew mentored him; the rest he took from Simula, HighThere and Skantia.

Co-founder of EastBound DnB and a permanent fixture in the JHB underground rotation. Bring earplugs. He won't.

  2. GG portrait
    Co-founder · 08.2025DJ · Producer

    Sound 140 · Grime · Jungle · Jump Up

“Mean sets, clean mixing & filthy production.”

GG is what happens when a producer gets bored of the studio and takes it out on dancefloors. The dark end of South African drum & bass, loud enough to cancel your Sunday.

Five years producing. Half of Duology with Keedz. Sets start at 140 and refuse to stay there: grime when the room gets cocky, jungle when it gets sentimental, jump up once it's earned.

Co-founder of EastBound DnB. Influences: Saint Ludo, Anaïs, Simula, Waeys, SOTA. Studied closely, robbed blind.

  3. Keedz portrait
    Co-founder · 08.2025DJ · Producer

Sound Deep Rollers · Neuro · Minimal

“Tight mixing. Deep rollers. Builds tension, lets it go on cue.”

Keedz plays deep rollers, neuro and minimal cuts with technical mixing that holds a floor without showing off. Reads the room first, then commits, and the room rarely gets a vote.

Four years in production, firmly on the modern neuro-leaning side of the genre. Releases land under Duology alongside GG, with more on the way.

Co-founder of EastBound DnB, resident across the JHB underground rotation. Builds tension, lets it go on cue, repeats until the lights come on.

  4. Neptune portrait
    First welcomed · 2026DJ

    Sound Neuro · Dark Rollers · Metal-tinged

“Heavy without losing clarity. Metal weight, DnB drive.”

Neptune works the dark, heavy end: neurofunk, stripped-back rollers and deep atmospheric pockets, with texture borrowed from metal. The low end is physical. Your ribs will file a complaint.

The sets move rather than sequence: sit in a groove long enough to pull the whole room in, then flip it on cue.

EastBound's first welcomed resident, 2026. Regular through Konflkt Bass, Bass Communion and the JHB underground. Book the late slot, at peak, and clear the front.

  5. Trifekta portrait
    Second welcomed · 2026DJ · Curator

Sound Hypnotic · Dark Minimal · Rollers

“Hypnotic techno, dark minimal, rollers. Long arcs, not drops. Reads the room first.”

Trifekta plays hypnotic techno, dark minimal and rollers in long arcs, not drops. Reads a room, commits to the build, holds it until the floor stops checking the time.

Founder of Synthesis, the underground event series, and Zynk Movement, a platform for community-driven curation. Books with intent, picks the room first; most promoters manage neither.

Second resident welcomed into EastBound in 2026, after two collaborative EastBound × Synthesis shows. JHB underground, with reach into Durban, Cape Town and Pretoria.

  6. Duology portrait
    GG × Keedz · B2BDJ · Producer

Sound Rollers · Neuro · Jump Up

“Calculated chaos. Jump up, neuro, 4×4 and jungle blended for sound-system culture.”

Duology is GG and Keedz back to back: jump up, neuro, 4×4 rollers and jungle, built to weigh on a proper rig.

GG brings five years of cross-genre production and old-school groove. Keedz brings four years of focused, neuro-leaning DnB. The crossover is the set, and the set is a problem.

Releases on Spotify and Apple Music. Latest: closing the drum & bass floor at Earthdance Johannesburg on a jump up and roller-infused set. Plan your exit accordingly.
